Expected Information Technology Revolutions in 2011

Year 2010 has ended on a brilliant note for all technology enthusiasts and has commenced on very positive note i.e. with CES 2011 which is probably the biggest show for Technology fanatics.
Although we have already seen a lot of gadgets come up in the CES 2011 of which the most entertaining was Motorola Xoom Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) Tablet PC but we can still expect a lot of other Information Technology Revolutions in the year that follows.
Before I start revealing what I expect from the Year 2011 in terms of gadgets and geeky stuff, I want to know what you feel.
What technology advancements or innovations are expecting from the year ahead?
A few new technology advancements that may change the IT world for good are:-
Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb)

You might be thinking that Android OS 3.0 is out already, how can you expect it to be good in future then?
Yeah! It is out but in locked state, most of its features are not available at the moment. Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) and possible newer versions of Android OS would change the way we use smartphones and Tablet PCs.
Dual-Core Processors

We have seen 1GHz Snapdragon and ARM Cortex processors but don’t let your imagination get limited in a rut. People who think that this is the most a smartphone can get are wrong because Samsung and Motorola are planning for something different, something immensely big.
These big names are working on Smartphones with dual core processors of 1GHz. Both brands are trying very hard to blow off the line between a smartphone & Tablet PC and not just blur it.
Samsung Galaxy S2

As told above, Samsung’s greatest and most expensive (I suppose) phone is in creation phase. As per rumors it is expected to run a massive 2 GHz processor and we don’t think it would be impossible to create a gadget like that.
Samsung Galaxy S2 concept phone is definitely one of the most anticipated gadgets in the year 2011.
I expect it to run on 4G and have high speed Internet access, better multimedia options, HD video support, HD Gaming and many more features that we don’t usually don’t see even in a notebook.

Mozilla Seabird


This is another Gadget that would change the way we compute. Mozilla Seabird is a concept device that acts like a small phone projector that emits keyboard in 2 parts on left and right sides and project a screen for computing in the front.
It is one the most hyped projects of Mozilla in the year 2011. We can definitely expect a shift from Tablets to a more compressed form of Smart Computers if Mozilla Seabird comes to life in reality.

Emotion Consoles

Although this is not something that would get accomplished within the next year but we are expecting a big announcement about it soon.
Emotion Consoles refer to softwares that can recognize your mood, your happiness and motivational levels and then think out ways in which it can make your world transform in way that increases your happiness.
Did you ever wished for someone to talk to when you are feeling lonely?
Well you can do that now with Emotion Console and change you thinking in a sudden.
