Asus has released a statement confirming that the EEE tablets will soon be updated with the latest Android operating system, i.e. Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. Similarly Acer has also announced that they are going to get the latest OS on their Iconia Tab A100 and A500 tablets by January 2012.
Though unlike Acer, Asus has not set a time frame for the release of the OS update for their tablets, it is expected that Transformer tab will be updated first, followed by Slider and the other tablets. Their latest tablet, Transformer 2 will also come preloaded with Android 4.0 OS.
