HTC, a leading Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer, has unveiled its
latest smartphone, HTC Radar in India. This is HTC’s first Mango device
designed for the Indian markets, making it only the second Windows Phone
smartphone after Samsung Omnia W which was launched last week by
Samsung.
HTC Radar runs on the all new Windows Phone 7.5 a.k.a. Mango operating system and is powered by a brawny 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The smartphone sports a rather large 3.8 inch LCD touchscreen display with 480 X 800 resolution.
Weighing a mere 137 grams, HTC Radar comes with an internal memory of 8GB coupled with 512MB RAM. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera which enables you to record 720p HD videos and a VGA front facing camera for video calling. The USP of this phone is its ‘instant capture camera’ that ensures there is no time lag whatsoever between the pressing of the button by the user and the subsequent capture of the photo.
The connectivity options in this smartphone include the rather conventional 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPRS. Priced at a rather hefty price tag of Rs. 23,990, HTC Radar is going to be available in the market from next week onwards.
