ViewSonic Launches ViewPad 7e – Android Tablet Under $200

Viewsonic has recently launched its latest tablet PC, Viewpad 7e, an affordably priced 7-inch tablet. Though it might not be as appealing as some of the other big names when it comes to tablet computers, Viewpad 7e will definitely give them a run for their money, thanks to its ultra-low price tag of $199 (though still significantly higher than the Rs. 3k Akaash tablet).

Viewpad 7e runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread OS) and though other top-notch tablets might be using Honeycomb OS, we certainly can’t complain since they are priced way higher as well.
Talking about the specs, which seem to be quite decent for the price, Viewpad 7e is powered by a 1 GHz processor and comes with 512MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage that can be upgraded up to 32GB. It has a 800 X 600 multi-touch display and also supports RiteTouch, which enables you to write on the screen using a stylus.
The tablet also features a 3-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. A HDMI port that supports 1080p HD video is also provided. The connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Though Viewpad 7e seems to a good package for the price it comes at, you can get your hands on Amazon’s latest Fire tablet for the same price, only if you are willing to wait till November 15.
