In Windows XP it is quite common for a program to crash and then the error reporting pop-up shows up. It advises us to send an error report to Microsoft in an attempt to notify Microsoft about the problem. However this service can be highly annoying, especially if we are working on something important.
If you are annoyed with it as well and would like to turn off this feature, here is a simple tutorial to show you exactly what you need to do to disable it:
1. Right-click on My Computer icon on your desktop and click on Properties.
2. The System Properties window will show up. Click on the Advanced tab.
3. Click on the Error Reporting button at the bottom-right of the window.
4. The Error Reporting window will appear. Check the “Disable error reporting” option. However make sure that the “But notify me when critical errors occur” option under it is checked as well so that you are notified whenever a critical system error occurs.
Voila! You have successfully disabled the error reporting feature in Windows XP. Now you won’t be interrupted while working on your PC even if a program crashes.
