Though Nokia had said that the Meego powered Nokia N9 smartphone
would not be launched in the USA and some of the other developed
countries, Expansys has started shipping Nokia N9 in the US unlocked at a price of $689.99 for the 16 GB version with free shipping.
The Magenta version of the 16GB model is also available for purchase at $779.99 and the device will supposedly ship in around 4 days. Though the 64GB black version of N9 has been listed for purchase as well at a price tag of $924.99, there is no information about its release date.
Nokia N9 is the first and only Meego based smartphone
from Nokia and sports a 3.9-inch WVGA AMOLED display with
scratch-resistant curved glass. It is powered by a 1Ghz processor with
1GB RAM and comes with options of 16GB and 64GB of internal storage.
It is fitted with the latest in wireless technology, Near Field Communication (NFC) that enables you to share images and videos between devices by touching them together. The other features include a 8MP camera (Carl Zeiss autofocus sensor & wide-angle lens) with 720p recording & LED flash, A-GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
