Samsung Omnia W, which is Samsung’s first Windows Phone Mango device is now available for purchase in the UK. The unlocked version of the mobile has been made available via Play.com whereas a number of online retails including Expansys and Clove still have the device on pre-order.
While Play.com is offering the phone for £339.99 (about €398 or $540) with free delivery, Expansys has it on pre-order for £329.99 whereas Clove is charging £358.80 including VAT.
Samsung Omnia W sports a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 480×800 pixels resolution and runs on the latest Windows 7.5 Mango operating system. It is powered by a fast 1.4 GHz processor with 512MB RAM. The phone also features an impressive 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash & 720 p HD recording and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling.
Apart from the number of built-in social networking services like Windows Live, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, access to Windows live Sky Drive is also provided along with 25GB of free storage. Integration with Picture Hub, Music & Video Hub run by Microsoft Zune and Game Hub allow users to chat whist playing online with other users.
